Nenah FM Founders:

104.7 NENAH FM, “The Voice of Transformation” is a privately owned radio station co-founded by Mr. Abu Martine Louis and Mr. Nahaman Ojwe to help in the transformation of the sub-region

NENAH FM is solely owned by Abu Martine Louis, Nahaman Ojwe and Lorika Cornelius Kodet and is located within Moroto Municipality at the Posta Building independence Avenue, Moroto Town.

Mission Statement:

104.7 NENAH FM “The Voice of Transformation” is set to mobilize and enlighten rural communities, especially the disadvantaged group, with special focus on women, youths, children and the disabled by providing educative programmes on Peace building, Education, Health care, Farming, News, Spiritual instructions, Environmental issues, Sports, Civic Education, Cultural and Government programmes with the aim empowering the community to fighting ignorance, disease and poverty to enhance a better future for all in the Sub Region.

Operation:

Started the setup on 6th October 2008, 104.7 NENAH FM started broadcasting officially in December 2008, it is broadcasting on 104.7Mhz FM with a 3KW FM power transmitter

Being a local radio station, 104.7 NENAH FM mainly broadcasts in Ngakarimojong, English, Kiswahili, Pokot, Ethur, and Ateso

However 50% of our broadcast is in the dominant Ngakarimojong language in fulfillment of our goal: Joining hands with other actors to cause transformation in Karamoja Sub Region. 20% is in English, 15% in Kiswahili, 5% is in Pokot, 5% is in Ethur and 5% in Ateso

104.7 NENAH FM is equipped with state of the art digital machines and studios, enabling us to produce and transmit computerized formats with mature and responsible personalities within the Region

Registration:

It’s registered as NENAH LIMITED with the Registrar of Companies as a limited liability company

104.7 NENAH FM is fully and legally registered with Uganda broadcasting Council as Local FM Radio and controlled by Uganda Communications Commission
